James “Jamie” Carroll is in private practice in St. Louis, MO. His clinical interests include: Trauma, Reactive Attachment Disorder, and LGBTQ clients. He has an MA in Professional Counseling from Lindenwood University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. In addition, he is a National Certified Counselor, a Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor, a Certified Hypnotherapist, and a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor.

Presentation Title: Suicide Prevention and LGBTQ Youth
Suicide is a major health problem for our youth. It is even more problematic for LGBTQ youths. In this presentation, we will examine factors that place LGBTQ youth at a higher risk for suicide. Additionally, various strategies will be discussed to help mitigate these factors.
